My RCA Jacks are draining power from my battery when the car is off. I can't figure out why, I know it is strange. They are hooked up to a 450 watt amp, and when they are plugged in the amp is getting 6 volts of power with the car being off and positive terminal unplugged. When the RCA jacks become unplugged, the amp has no power at all. I am sure it is the rca jacks.. but how

  1. The RCA outputs are isolated, as in the outer part isn't grounded. The amps outer part of the connector is grounded. The mismatch causes dc voltage to appear on the amp, and grounding the cable shields draws power from the player.
