Question:

Dramatic Techniques used in The Crucible (screenplay) ?

I have an essay due next week, it's meant to be 1500-2000 words and so far I have 900. The question is 'Who or what is on trial in The Crucible and how does Miller use dramatic techniques to show this to be the case?'

My Idea is that human nature is on trial (like morals) but I cant think of anything else to write for the techniques.

I've got allegory, how it's told from Proctor's perspective, and dramatic irony.

Is there anything else I can use to fill up the space?

thanks xxxxxx

  1. Irrational Fear, Rush-to-Judgment,  ...  Sorry; don't know what dramatic techniques he used.

  2. There are a number of study guides that can help you with this play.  Most of them have quite a bit of good information.  Have a look at these sites, and you should get some help with your work.  If you do a search here in the Yahoo Answers search window you will find many other sources of help as quite a few questions have been asked here about The Crucible.
