  1. a)...2 double bonds indicate a 'diene' ...2,4-heptadiene.

    CnH(2n-2). =C7H12.

    CH3-CH=CH-CH=CH-CH2-CH3.

    1,6-hexandiol.

    b)... O-H-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-C-H-O.

    2,3,4-trimethylhexane. (C9H20).

    ............CH3

    ..............|

    H3C-CH-CH-CH-CH2-CH3

    ........|...........|

    .......CH3....CH3

  2. I don't think that your nomenclature for the first two compounds is correct...

Is it 2,4-heptadiene? 1,6-hexanediol? Those structures are as follows...

    CH3-CH=CH-CH=CH-CH2-CH3

    HOCH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2OH

    and 2,3,4-trimethylhexane is as follows...

    (CH3)2CH-CH(CH3)-CH(CH3)-CH2-CH3

  3. I think you mean 2,4-heptadiene

    CH3CH=CHCH=CHCH2CH3

    I think you mean 1,6-hexanediol

    HO-CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2CH2-OH

    (CH3)2CHCH(CH3)CH(CH3)CH2CH3

The two CH3's in the middle are supposed to be branching off the CH's that they follow
