Dream About Shoes, The Mall, and a Party. Why wasn't I happy?

I had this dream last night and I'd like to hear what you think it means.

I was at the mall with alot of people I knew. All my favorite stores were in it. There was a new, small tennis shoe store on the corner of the mall, and 5 more popualr athletic shoe stores right next to each other. While in the new store, I won $100. After winning the money I decided I wanted to buy a really cute pair of Nike's with bright colors. I asked all my friends to help me pick one, but all the ones I saw and that they picked out were VERY ugly to me. Soon after the search began, the new store said they were throwing a promotional party when the mall closed. My favorite shoe store was closed by the time I got there, and I was locked out of the party. When I tried to get back in, I woke up.

What gives? I mean, I do want a new pair of Nikes in real life but I think that dream had more meaning.

  1. it means you arent satisfied no matter what they give ya.  Tough but maybe true.  This aint about shoes.

  2. This is probably because you have never had everything easy. You realise that things that seem to be too good to be true usually are. You expect to work hard for what you have. I feel you would appreciate the things you have more than most and watch people celebrities who have no grasp of the real world and know if that was you, you would do things a lot differently.

  3. In general, shoes represent your approach to life. It suggests that you are well-grounded or that you are down to earth. It also represents your convictions about your beliefs. If you are changing your shoes, then it refers to your changing roles. You are taking a new approach to life. If your forget your shoes, then it suggests that you are leaving restraints behind you. You are refusing to conform to some idea or attitude.

To dream that you are at the mall, represents your attempts in making a favorable impression on someone. The mall is also symbolic of materialism and the need to keep up with the trends, fads, and/or the latest technology.
