I love Salvador, but I think Alexis wins either by unanimous decision, or late round stoppage. He has shown more at the weight, so therefore proven, as opposed to Sanchez.

This would have been a war I love both fighters but  if I had to chose one I would take Salvado over Alexis by KO in the 13th round

Its hard to pick against Arguello.  He's such a likeable guy and many feel he's one of the greatest.  I agree that he was.  However, I have always thought Sanchez had his number.  I was blasted back in 1982 for saying so on a sports radio station in college.  

Sanchez was on his way to the lightweight division before his untimely death in August 1982.  While Arguello could end a fight with once punch it would take a fighter who can take a good punch to beat him.  I dont think the move up in weight would have effected Sanchez at all.  He was young and still growing when he died.

Sanchez had the style to trouble Arguello.  He threw a lot of punches and moved well in the ring.  Movers have always given Arguello trouble.  Sanchez also took a good punch.  

I see the fight going the distance because Sanchez would not seriously hurt Arguello. However, he would stop Arguello from doing what he does best.  

Sanchez sidesteps many of Arguello's bombs and lands his own hard shots.   Round after round Sanchez piles up points.

at featherweight, then arguello on points, but at lightweight, i don't know, as sanchez never had a chance to.

Arguello would have had the physical advantages (height, reach, punching power, etc) but Sanchez was a rising star.  I think if Sanchez had lived to be 26-27 he would have hit his prime and outboxed Arguello and stopped him late.  If Alexis could lose to a smaller boxer like Vilomar Fernandez then I am sure the great Sanchez would have done even better.  the pride of Santiago Tianguistenco Mexico wins by TKO13.
