Dream Maker dreaming to register first success at Salisbury
Considering the Tom Dascombe trained chestnut filly Dream Maker’s last two below-par performances, some people raise questions on her form, but the sport experts opine that it was just a transitory state as the young sprinter will prove herself again by
winning the Country Gentlemen´s Association EBF d**k Poole Fillies´ Stakes (Listed Race) at Salisbury racecourse on Thursday, September 6.
This view seems somewhat logical as the two-year-old novice filly has demonstrated her rich racing credentials for multiple times. Surprisingly, she did not step out of the podium in the first six races of her career that began in May 2012.
Thus, it is expected that Dream Maker will handle a dozen of worthy rivals audaciously on the good course of 6 furlongs to seal top spot in her first outing at this venue.
After finishing 3rd in each of her first three starts, the fantastic filly got the runner-up rank in the Molesey Nursery, held at Sandown on July 25. Then she marvellously broke her maiden with the title of the Olde English Maiden Auction Stakes
that went down at Bath. That was a great achievement indeed.
The daughter of Bahamian Bounty out of Pointed Arch grabbed another grand victory in the very next race entitled as Liverpool One Nursery. She had been the best-priced candidate for both of the events.
That was the time when both the punters and the common sport followers came to realize how brilliant the filly is. However, the trainer put blind trust on his pupil and tried two new riders in the subsequent starts. Resultantly, Dream Maker tumbled, but
it did not mean that she lost her confidence.
Hopefully, the young and maverick sprinter will stage a strong comeback today. Diaminda is the only rival who can prove to be dangerous for Dream Maker. The Alan Jarvis trained bay filly debuted in June 2012, finishing as the runner-up against a dozen of
competitors in the CWU Legal Services E B F Maiden Fillies' Stakes.
She broke her maiden in the second and last start entitled as Helical Bar EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes. Throughout August, she did not come into action. She might have learnt some new skills.
It is expected that the two fillies will fight head-to-head. Good luck to them.
