Dream Maker dreaming to win German-Thoroughbred.com Sweet Solera Stakes (Group 3) (Fillies)
It rarely happens that a novice runner gets a hat-trick just at the threshold of his/her career, but the Tom Dascombe trained chestnut filly Dream Maker’s dream is going to come true today, August 11 when she will participate in the high-stakes race of the
German-Thoroughbred.com Sweet Solera Stakes (Group 3) (Fillies) that will be held at Newmarket racecourse.
Following her two consecutive triumphs of the last week, the two-year-old young filly is now dreaming to complete her hat-trick in the high-profile contest over 7 furlongs. With an eye on the prize money worth £25,520, she will run alongside seven strong
rivals on the good to firm track.
Luckily, the daughter of Bahamian Bounty out of Pointed Arch has been on the podium throughout her 6-race career that began in May 2012. After finishing 3rd in each of her first three starts, the D. G. Iceton bred fantastic filly finished as the
runner-up in Molesey Nursery at Sandown on July 25.
The maverick sprinter broke her maiden with the title of the Olde English Maiden Auction Stakes that took place at Bath on August 3. She was the 10-11 favourite for that event.
The brilliant runner moved ahead to accomplish a grand victory convincingly in the Liverpool One Nursery at Chester track on August 5.
These two back-to-back triumphs have spiked up the victor’s confidence level to a great extent. Now, she seems to be invincible, but Sky Lantern is still a big threat for her.
The legendary trainer Richard Hannon’s grey filly has nicely won both the races of her career so far. Debuting with the title of the British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing E B F Maiden Fillies' Stakes on May 24, 2012, the rookie runner won Coolmore
Stud European Breeders Fund Sprint Stakes (Listed Race) (Fillies) at Naas. She had been the favourite candidate for both of these events.
Thus, a fiery clash is expected between Dream Maker and Sky Lantern. The spectators are going to enjoy it a lot. The bookmakers, who have staked their money on Dream Maker, are a little bit worried for Sky Lantern. Let us see what goes on at Newmarket.
