It depends on how the kimono was used in the dream, and the other action of the dream. Without more, a cigar is just a cigar.  You may just like Asian material or kimonos without more action to give us something to analyze.

I think to the west in general it would symbolize obviously Japan, exoticness, something new and different, perhaps beauty and the femininity?

kimonos were traditionally worn by submissive women. It could be a symbol of submissive tendencies.

If you feel comfort having other people direct you, protect you, or even admire your femininity, a kimono could symbolize some of these qualities.

If you have only seen kimonos on karate or ninja movies, the symbolism may actually be strength, self-control, and/or supporting a group. Or even going vigilante.
