Dream about buying a bunny rabbit?

Two nights ago I had an odd dream. I was married in the dream (and I am happily married in real life). In the dream, a friend of ours took me out shopping to buy a used car even though I don't need another car. We were at the car lot and the cars were really cheap, costing between $100-1000, and they were all decrepit. My friend kept trying to get me to look at the cars but I wasn't interested in them. Instead I was interested in three cages down the road. Each cage had a large bunny rabbit in it. I recall that one rabbit was black. The rabbit I liked the most was a rich tan color and it had unusually long fluffy fur. I took the rabbit out of its cage and was holding it. The rabbit seemed to like me and I became obsessed with it and was going to buy it. Earlier in the day I had tried to talk a girl friend out of buying a new puppy because she has too many responsibilities already. So in my dream, I was trying to justify buying a bunny even though I just told my friend that she should not get a puppy. I was using logic like: a bunny lives in a cage so it's easier to take care of than a puppy. I was excited to buy the bunny and bring it home to my husband, though I wasn't sure if he'd share my excitement over the rabbit.

Does anyone have any thoughts about what this dream means? I do not want a pet. I don't like the idea of having animals in the house. Plus, I already have a three year old son who is a handful in his own right.

  1. I think with a 3 yr. old running around and exhausting you that your dream is warning you to get some warm fuzzys for your self.  You are conflicted about getting the bunny because you told a friend she shouldn't have a puppy.  That may mean that you don't feel right asking your husband to spend the time giving the lovin' you need because he already has too much to do.

If this sounds true then it's time for a babysitter and a night out with your husband.  He may need the lovin' as much or more than you do.  The rabbit cage may mean that if you do a little bit now and then you won't be confined by your responsibilities.
