No doubt in my mind. .  Jerry Quarry took shots from Frazier that even Frazier was scared of.  And he kept coming forward.  Not to mention that Quarry, reportedly, got his training team angry because he kept "ripping up" the heavy bags in their gym.  That's a strong puncher, kids!

Bugner was a bore. . . he was a stick of butter with legs.  Lame, lame, lame.  Good question, but this one's a slam dunk.

Ah,the Hungarian born English/Australian!I liked Joe and  I don't think he ever got the real credit he deserved,distance with Ali and Frazier in their primes.Sentiment to one side,Id have to go for Quarry by a close points win over Bugner.

Quarry bangs out a mid round KO, Bugner didn't have the guns or skill level to take Jerry.

This is actually a good fight because neither man was know for foot work.  Quarry had the slightly better skills and defense but neither used or relied on defense much.  

I think Bugner wasnt given much credit.  There were times late in his career that he didnt take boxing seriously.   However,  like most contenders,  he brought his "A-game" when he fought Ali, even though Ali was not champion the first time they met.  Joe came ready and gave Ali a hand full.  He just didnt have the skill to seriously threaten Ali.

Though Quarry had better skills I could see Bugner turning it into a street fight.  He would have no choice.   When he was in shape,  I think Joe Bugner was a rugged fighter.  He would rough Quarry up in the middle rounds after trailing on points.  

I dont see Quarry scoring a KO late, especially if the fight is 15 rounds.   What I can see is Bugner winning on cuts in round 11 or 12.  If the fight goes the distance Quarry wins on points in a close one.  I dont think Joe Bugner would let that happen.
