Question:

Dream help!? please!?

i dont actually dream much and really want to

this sounds rather odd i know but is there any way i can stimulate my dreams

and why is it that i dont dream much?

  1. First of all: Great Question!! :D Hmmm.. where to start?

    I think you know that dreams are messages from our subconscious mind.. why else would you want to remember your dreams?

    I've tried many things for remembering my dreams, but I've really only found one solution.

    Most people think consuming something before bed (like chamomile tea or vitamin B), or doing a special ritual (like washing the hands with cold water) would help them remember their dreams.

    This is my method for remembering my dreams. It's fairly simple really. You just have to convince your subconscious that you want to remember your dreams. You're subconscious is what makes your dreams, and it's used to being ignored (i.e. People say they don't dream, but in fact, EVERYONE dreams 5 times per night). So just convince your subconscious by saying in your head "I want to remember my dreams.. I want to remember my dreams.."

    Don't be discouraged if it does not work the first time, it's taken me a year to get where I'm at with my dreaming (remembering usually 4 dreams per night, sometimes 5). It just takes practice and determination (and maybe some stubbornness).

    When you get really good at remembering your dreams, you can start asking your dreams questions. :)

    Maybe keeping a dream journal will help convince your subconcious that you're serious about wanting to remember your dreams. Even if you didn't dream a particular night, just write "I did not remember my dreams, but next time I will." Have patience, and try, try, try!

Everyone dreams, but it depends on what state of sleep you are in when you wake up if you will remember a dream or not.  REM sleep is when you dream the most vividly, so if you are really wanting to see what kind of dreams you have,  you need to set an alarm to wake up while you are in REM sleep that is LOUD ( approx every 3 hrs after you fall asleep ).  Then plan to immediately recap what you were thinking.  GOOD LUCK!
