Well lately i have been having this really weird dream and its happened every night for four days i looked at websites and i couldn't find anything about it.

Okay so the first time i had it i was snowboarding aginst 5 other people it was like we were racing i was winning then as we get to the finish line i crashed and ended up behind the person at last place so i got back up and i barely took last, i was beaten ny like a foot. Then i woke up.

So the next day i was snowboarding again and i was with 10 other girls at first i was nervous i was gonna fall so the one girl grabbed my hand and went with me down the hill we were the first ones down and then as we went to the top she said it was my turn now. I woke up and ive had that dream for three days now.

What does it mean any ideas?

  1. Hi Kristin, well, this is interesting....when you dream on this recurring theme, write it down, then write a journal entry of what happened for a couple days prior to that, after you have several entries together, you can start to look for patterns in the dream, and patterns in the things you did and thought about during the day.

I find it interesting the way the tone of dream changed for the last 3 times over the first one.  Looking over this imagery, it seems as though you are in a competitive situation of some kind, like at school or work...In the first dream you are trying by yourself, but in the end you fail to meet your goal for some reason, it could be something like maybe you need tutoring, or maybe you need more training at work, or something like that.  The first dream seems to be setting the stage to get your attention, then changes as you try to tell yourself the real message....Then for 3 days you're having a dream where someone else helps you accomplish your goal, and then she tells you it's your turn now, wonder what that means?  Does it mean that now that she's shown you the ropes, you can fly on your own, and it's your time to come down the hill by yourself, or does it mean that now that she has helped you through teamwork, it's time for you to do likewise for someone else?

The way this reads, it seems as though you had a goal you needed to accomplish, and felt unprepared to do it, and either you need additional help to learn how to approach your goal the right way, or you've received additional help to learn how to approach the goal the right way.  Since it's a recurring dream, I am leaning toward the idea that you're trying to tell yourself that you need a (tutor, trainer, coach) of some kind to help you learn the skills you need to learn to be successful to achieve your goal, whether it has something to do with work, or a class you're taking, I'm curious if you happen to be working on your SAT's at the moment?  Or some other kind of a critical area where you need to compete with others for placement in a job or school situation?

Later edit...been looking over your q and a's a little bit, I see that you are going for your nursing degree, and wonder if this dream may be related.... Perhaps you are taking exams?

  2. To dream that you or someone is snowboarding indicates that you are utilizing your skills. You may see competitors in your reality doing better than you are and fear that you will end up finishing last, or afraid your efforts will crash.

The second dream may indicate you have to compete to look better than your friends, and other girls.

    But that's just my interpretation.

  3. Well, could be that you'd rather try to be the best you can be WITH someone, than get ahead all by yourself and have no one there for you when you fall.
