My sister had a dream 2 niights ago that we were back in our childhood house and there were bombs going off outside. We hid in a cupboard. Then she was walking through the house, found me in a bedroom saying i didnt want to live no more, i was looking at her really evil. i covered myself in petrol and set myself on fire, she watched me burn to death, my face was melting. Anyone study dream interpretation? dont waste my time giving me stupid responses please

  1. wow thats a crazy dream. it probably doensnt mean anything. Had she watched a film or tv program that contained any elements like those in her dream. we may not realise it but they can have an affect on our dreams.

  2. It means you're going to die.  (Don't most intrepretation books tell us this about most dreams!?)

Of course by saying not to give stupid responses you are going to get more than you had hoped for!

  3. It means you're g*y.

  4. Your sister's dream is obviously somewhat apocolyptic and may be a reflection of the effects of today's worldly horrors on her concerns for those she loves.

By your writing I cannot tell much about the context of your childhood in that home - what events there could have shaped the dream, etc.  What is suggested is that some mix of old feelings from that place and recent observations or feelings have played into this dream to illustrate something that is deeply in her mind.

The childhood home puts the dream characters back to a time of younger perspective and can imply a tie to something secure.  In this case, the security of that time and place may be in question - something there implies a lack of protection and unhappiness on your part in the past.  Did something happen there that was a let-down or disappointment in some way that could leave a child feeling insecure in some way?  It is as if modern events have led her back to feelings she once felt earlier in life.

It is the bombs outside that somehow convey 'modern events', but that may be off base here.  You would need to consider the context of your childhood in that place to see how these things may fit.  Consider as well -

Has the 'outside' world not been so friendly to either of you in some ways since leaving the relative comfort and protection of a childhood home?  Did either of you register trepidation about venturing there when you were younger?  Perhaps events have happened that seem to fulfil fears from that time - and the subconscious accumulation of that now vents via your sister's dream.

The portrayal of your nastier self - and self-destructive nature implies the negative view of things outside.  The 'things outside' can be contrued to be the bombs - whether from modern inputs or something at the time of childhood about anxiety of the world outside of family and home.  She may even see you struggling with something now that harkens back to that place, and perhaps her memory has dredged up some act from then that portrays you as you describe.

That your face melted away and you fell to destruction implies an impairment or disfiguring event - even if it is of the psyche.  That could relate to you - or your sister: her view of you in the dream could actually be of herself, you may be a proxy in this.  We do not see ourselves destroyed to the point of death in dreaming normally but awaken before such things - a quirk of the mind it seems.

Again, without more context it is difficult to say, but hopefully some of these points may be helpful as you recall the near and distant past to understand what may have triggered this dream.

    All the best to you.
