Dream interpretation...Need advice and or interpretation

Question

Okay, so last night I had a weird dream, but the thing that pops out most about it is an old friend professing their love, I haven't seen or spoken to this person in quite sometime...and in the dream when he professed his love it was awkward for me and I didn't know what to reply, but for the remainder of the dream I kept seeing him in the corner of my eye?? Any insights would help thanks

quite often when we dream about someone from the past it is because we are at a similar place in our life now to where we were when that person was around. so the dream is less about the person themselves but more about similarities between your life then and your life now. it seems you might even know what that situation is, but may be trying not to look at it straight on (as the past is in the corner of your eye).

Maybe you have feelings for this person, subconciously..? Or you miss this person. Or maybe it is possibly one of those random dreams that truely do not have any meaning

The dream suggest some hidden feelings for this person in the past; however, you no longer feel this way but likely in some way feel guilty about something in the relationship.  You could not look him straight in the eyes.

You want this person to love you and you want to have this person available to you when you want them to be.  The fact that he is in the corner of your eye tells me you don't want him in the forefront of your life but in the back ground ready to come forward and make a commitment when you are ready.  You also may feel guilty as if looking over your shoulder (in the corner of your eye) to the past.  He probably was not wanting to be you freind but much more and you were always afraid that he would make this statement, but never did.  Now you may have realized that you should have had a deeper relationship with this person.
