My parents not too happy with my re-entrance into the people-full world try to prevent it.But it doesn't work.With me, come my father, mother, a male cousin, and a young woman, my age in the dream, around 20 years of age.I find an apt. I like in a dangerous part of this rather dark city.My parents question the choice, but I let them talk on.I am already hanging up my paintings on the wall. I turn around to ask what they think of one particular painting. A nocturn, showing a singular,very diffused female figure,part of the dark, 1/2 of her form partly seen against a sudden clearing of opaque light.
When I turn around every one has gone! I am alone, The darkness comes into the room. I'm in the pitch dark.I hear my paintings melting off the walls-a sound like slow syrup.
I become angry,I'm not afraid though..I fly down the stairs.All of my group is standing at a window, talking about a restaurant near by.My mother has grown very close to the other young woman.They look happy, pleased.
