Dream interpretation needed about a dream that woke me up, please?

Question

While I was asleep in my bed, I dreamed that I felt an itching and burning near where my right leg connects to my abdomen. However, what I saw frightened me: there was an unusual, thin, and very bright red insect that was trying to either bite me or burrow into my skin. I awakened, and I began itching that spot, as if it were still there, at first not fully realizing the difference between my dream and reality. There was no bug bite there; however, I became obsessed with this thought from my dream for most of the morning, as it was disturbing to me.

sometimes a dream is just a dream. when you wake up and see that eveerything is fine you need to just drop it and move on.

Consider also the popular phrase "bitten by the bug" to imply your strong emotional ties or involvement to some activity/interest/hobby. Alternatively, the bug may be representative of your sexual thoughts.

Since the bug was burrowing in your groin region, it really makes me think that the traditional bug meaning of your sexual thoughts is to apply here. Are you anxious, worried, or feeling taken advantage of (or overindulging in - bitten by the 'bug') when it comes to s*x? And you didn't know if it was biting or burrowing yourself...so if it has to do with s*x, you would be confused currently as to how you feel about it.

Then there is the fact that red is symbolic of passion, love, sexuality, anger, and warning. So something could be bugging you (red bug). Or once again, it really could have to do w/ s*x, a possible relationship, or a current partner (passion, love, sexuality, warning?, anger? towards anyone recently?)

And you couldn't shake this dream off during the day, because it is a VERY important dream, and you need to now inspect the interpretations you have received & see if they can apply to your life, and then disect the areas in which they apply to get the answer you need. It was your intuition making this dream stick with you.

I think it's symbolic for someone trying to get under neath your skin. Like if someone has been irritating you. They really bug you.
