  1. The most important part of dream interpretation is to examine what feelings you had in the dream.  That is the best way to find a clue to what your subconscious was processing through the dream.

And look at what connections you can make to the red shirt.  What other things are red that might be significant?

What feelings did you have in your relationship with your ex?  That might be a clue too.  So the ex--in the dream--could stand for those feelings and not literally the ex.

    Have fun!

  2. It sounds like you're trying to work through the fact that you're not *supposed* to be seeing him anymore, but you might see him sometimes.

  3. By what you describe of the dream and that you have not dreamt in some time, but now seem to be resuming suggest your dream is based on and triggered by some mixed emotions about that previous relationship.

'Waiting for something' in a bank depends on your personal context, but taken at face value it suggests that you are to receive something such as monetary proceeds by which to do something needed and important in your life.  That could vary greatly - again, personal context is everything - perhaps you've considered employment in a bank - and therefore that might be the association.  But the first one seems obvious absent some other consideration.

Your exboyfriend coming in surprises you - ask yourself 'why?'  Are you far away from each other, or is it this place that makes it so surprising?  The latter is implied - for some reason it seems he would not expect to see you there.  Did he lack confidence in you, make you feel as though you could not progress with your life without him in some way?  Again, an implication, but this can well relate to your standing on your own two feet to get something done - and his registering surprise may be that he's forced to see it - and to realize the fallacy of his own thinking.

The red shirt is interesting - red can mean many things, but very often it is associated with warning of bad things or danger - something to be avoided.  It can also help provoke or imply rage in someone.  It stands out and usually acts as a repelling beacon, as if shallow shoals lie there waiting to wreck a ship.  I'm not sure your good mind isn't warning you to stay away from him in this, despite there being a possible realization of your doing something that might tempt a reunion.

And why the bank - with him in it?  Again, context is vital - does he work in one?  Did he have a career that paid well so that you associate him with easy access to financial means?  Did he seek to get something by help from the bank that perhaps he could not attain without more help, something you wished not to do, or could not do?

Or perhaps you wanted something that required his help, but you found no support there.  In any case, somehow you find yourselves on the same field here in this place of note - something is both in common between you, and opposing in terms of emotional acceptance.

I've offered observations here that are largely negative as to the former relationship - and there's at least a couple of reasons:

The 'red' - not positive - it suggests 'warning, stay clear'.  Whatever success you may be feeling in any of this, be careful about him getting back into your life to help you enjoy it.  You may have worked and saved hard - perhaps restored credit - don't allow that to be eroded by one who cannot contribute maturely.  You would have to decide, but that really comes to mind here.

Your lack of dreaming for some period of time.  That implies some emotional upsetness.  Only you can know, but that sometimes occurs when the mind 'numbs' at some experience that was hard on us.  The dreams don't come - not even bad ones.  Sometimes that relates to a lack of really good, restful sleep - dreams come in the deepest sleep.  It does suggest something disturbing - and only now are you 'digging out' emotionally, as evidenced by the return of the dreaming.

And what do you dream?  Of a surprising situation involving - whom?  Your mind is helping you find the relief you need from something out of this past - 'keep moving' is truly implied in this.  You seem to be emerging from something that hurt, or held you down.  Now, finally, you find relief - you sleep better - and in your dream go to find rewards that you have worked for - only to have this character show-up and surprise both of you.

That's a warning - don't take the bait if he shows up to 'admire' your new-found success - he does not sound like a contributor.  Your dreams should get sweeter, not go away again - think these things over.  Hopefully they will at least spur some useful ideas if they don't completely fit.

All the best to you for happiness and success..

  4. you had a dream. one can't interpret them.

  5. What I don't understand is why you wouldn't be able to interpret this dream on your own. It doesn't take a genius.

Being with in a bank means you have financial security, where as sitting in a ghetto denotes the opposite.

You dream may serve to reassure you that your fears of financial instability are unfounded.

Your ex-boyfriend walks in, with a red shirt, and you are alarmed.

When it comes to money and your ex-boy friend, you are unsure if he is able to provide for you or not. That could have even been the reason you broke up with him.

    But that's just my interpretation.
