  1. Hate to disagree with Blogbaba ( He can make a man doubt himself) but I have to go with Jofre in this bout. Saddler would have the edge in height and reach. As Blog said, power would be close (But Jofre did have that Ko power in either hand.)

Jofre was one of the most versatile boxer-puncher ever. Had speed, power, footwork, defense, counter-punching ,ring savy and thinking fighter, hard to catch with clean shots, granite chin, and a unique sense and ability to handle any given situation.

Saddler lost to some not so great fighters

    Paddy Demarco 75-26-3 (8ko)

    Del Flanagan

    Chico rosa

    Phil Terranova 67-21-11(29 ko)

I cant see Jofre losing to any of these guy's. And Jofre beat some great fighters

    Jose Legra 133-12-4 (48ko)

Vicente Saldivar 37-3 (26 ko) (A boxer and banger who was a ring dynamo.)

    ETC.

Legendary Historian Nat Fleischer compared Jofre to Sugar Ray Robinson being a p-4-p equal. This is high praise when you consider Fleischer personally witnessed ring immortals- Jack Johnson- Sam Langford- Joe Gans- Dempsey- Harry Greb- Benny Leonard- Pep- Robinson- Ali- and SANDY SADDLER.(amoungst others.)

Ther may be a few tough moments for Jofre, but I think he figures out Saddler, gets a handle on him and either ko's Saddler or wins a comfortable desc.

  2. Man, the two hardest hitting little guys in history, and both much better "boxers" than Manny Pacquio.  Tough call but I think their power was close to even but Saddler's reach would have given him a slight edge over Jofre.  Still too close to call, both were very good boxers as well as devastating punchers.

Saddler by splt decision assuming neither gets caught flush.

  3. only video recordings of both these guys not really been about to see them.what I have is enough to show me,without much doubt, that the bigger and stronger Sadler would have stopped the brave Brazilian inside 15 rnds.
