Dream with a pool, scorpion sting, and dad?

Question

I had this dream when I was a kid and somehow it was disturbing enough to stick with me for over 8 years. (I am 17 now.) I think this was before my dad died.

We were both at an indoor pool and he was sitting on the edge while I was swimming. Then all of a sudden there was this scorpion on the edge of the pool in front of him and I reached up to grab the ledge to get near him and it stung me. Then everything got really scary and my vision got real weird (neon outlines and swirls) and I thought I was going to die. Then I woke up! I can't really find any interpretation that makes sense in the context--can anyone help? Thanks!

our dreams are a communication between our conscious and subconscious mind.... or better put physical and emotional mind..... it's a dance of communication between the two when we allow ourselves the opportunity to sit quiet enough to let them speak......

if i had to guess......... (no one here knowing your emotional or physical self)...... it would be said that......

the pool represents your life..

your dad the importance of it at the time.....

you obviously had some fear for your dad. (whether that was knowing he was dying... or dead at the time)

the scorpion would in this case represent your fear ......what that means could only be said by your own interpretation..... as in...... was your fear of being close to your father at the time...... or......????

as for the "really scary....got real weird"......and feeling that you were going to die.......

an educated guess would be.....

something that you didn't want to happen.. that was tramatizing... or.

facing what you didn't want to without the ability to stop it....
