Dreaming of worms or maggots and centipedes?

My brother told me he had a dream that he looked at his arms and had worms crawling in his body. He would touch his arms and skin would fall and worms would come out. So he went in the shower and when he looked down he saw hundreds of centipedes moving around. What does this dream mean?

  1. No one can tell you what this dream means except your brother since it was his dream. Dreams have whatever meaning we choose to allow them to have. Some people have answered fear of insects, shedding old ways for a new start, no one has said fear of death yet I don't think.

However, such speculation is only that.

I would ask him what it meant and if he says nothing then that is your answer, if he says anything else that is your answer.

There are of course numerous books, all with different answers, about what dreams mean and if we feel that those explanations fit for us fine. Although even in that case we have chosen the meaning.

  2. either that he's scared of insects/bugs or he has dry skin.

  3. Dreams are dreams.  They don't have a meaning.

    .

  4. The things we see in dreams is usually symbolic. Perhaps the maggots and shedding skin have something to do with a "shedding" of some type in his life. Is there something he's planning on getting rid of or changing dramatically?

The other insects could represent fear...probably fear (trepidation) of the upcoming change.

    That's just a quickie guess...I'm not a pro at dream interpretation. ☺

  5. is he shedding fear?

  6. He is devepling a phobia of insects or he knew one day there would be something he would experience that he did not like bout insects

  7. try searching on dreammoods. go to yahoo search and type in dream moods you will see the link and theri you cna type in what you saw in your dreams it's very good and accurate i been there millions of times. good luck

  8. You shouldn't try and interpret dreams by thier images, only by the emotion felt by the dream. If something is bothering you, your mind will mimic that emotion in the form of images (that would cause you to feel the same emotion).

For example, if the dream made him feel scared, then chances are is something is frightening him in reality. (Not to the extreme of maggots and worms, of course).

If it made him feel wierded out, chances are he is not comfertable with a certain situation in reality.

You should always remember not to see dreams as they are, but what feelings/emotions (or even symbols and metaphores) are attached with it.

Some dreams are meaningless, and can purely be recreating bits of images seen during the day.

  9. I had a quick look in my dream book and it says...

"To see insects in your dream, signifies minor obstacles that you must overcome. There are small problems and annoyances that need to be dealt with. Something or someone may be "bugging" or "pestering" you. Alternatively, insects are also said to be symbolic of precision, alertness, and sensitivity. You may need to organize your thoughts and sort out your values. Sometimes they are seen as divine messengers. "

There seems to be a pattern in dreams such as dream of aliens=you feel alienated to dream of bugs=your being bugged by something etc

I dunno how accurate any of this is but I hope it helps

  10. depends on the feelings that went along with the dream

  11. It means that he doesn't like insects.
