Question:

Dreams, same dream in one night?

I woke up several times last night, and once to answer a call. However I was going back into the same dream each time, picking up where I left off. I didnt realise this was possible as the brain doesnt store dreams which is why we cant really remember them. Plus when my mum would wake me from an interesting dream, Iv often tried to continue it to find out what happened lol

I take it is possible then, do you think the dream was trying to tell me something? Iv already questioned the dream in another question ;)

Im interested in this kinda thing :P

  1. I can often remember dreams well,if i wake up and it's still in my head but the more morning and reality takes hold then the dream loses it's clarity,I can remeber parts but not the whole dream experience.

The one and only time I remember waking up,being aware I was wakened, laying back down as it was saturday and ni work and going straight back where I left off was amazing, the dream was very real,I was floating up to the cieling, then flying amazing,so real

  2. Maybe it was something in your childhood or something is about to happen becuz some of my dreams come true and it seems like deja vu

  3. Dreams don't take place in the brain as such, though it's not that simple and I don't really know much about it, but when you sleep your subconcious projects it's self into what you could call your own private corner of the astral plane.

The waking memory of them is *accessed* through the brain, but naturally the brain doesn't really know coz he weren't there so to speak.

I often have that happen, good fun, next time try drifting off and just before you lose conciousness get up out of bed into the dream time, even more fun!

I can't tell you what I think it means as you have'nt actually said anything about the dream other than you woke up during it and then went back to sleep.

  4. It is quite interesting.  As you woke up the dream was actually stored in a short term memory.  If you got to sleep quick enough after waking then it is possible to pick up from where you left off.  Also the above suggestion of it being like dejavu could be correct as well.  While you may think you were experiencing the dream again in fact it may just be a "fake" familiarity or your mind playing tricks on you.

Now do dreams actually say something is up for debate.  Cultures throughout the world have used dreams as indicators to supernatural experiences in truth its what you believe.  I have used a very strong dream from childhood to make changes in my life I never thought I could accomplish so you know what side of the fence I sit on.

  5. when you woke up you were still in a sleepy state so it was easy to slip back into the dream which was obviously of great importance to you.
