  1. This was an absolutely fantastic vacation. My fiancee and I booked this trip as a graduation trip and got a great rate. I had read a lot of good reviews, but I was still a bit skeptical. Turns out I was wrong.

Beware when you get off the plane, we were almost duped into a timeshare presentation, but we got out fine. We chose to get a shuttle with our vacation package, but it's a bit cheaper to just get a taxi at the airport. Once you get to the resort (which is a bit of a drive), you'll question if you ever want to go home.

We were there in June, which was rather warm, but they had plenty of palapas and shade near the pool and ocean to cool you off. The front desk area is amazing, all open air and staffed with great people. You can see a lot of the resort as well as the main pool from the lobby. From there the rooms are off to the Northern end of the beach and they're all ocean view. We had a ground floor unit and it was a bit noisy, but just fine. The rooms have big TV's with US channels (that you probably won't watch) as well as a king bed, couch, desk, and a free minibar. Room service is also free and available 24 hours, which is nice should you get a little hungry after visiting the lounges.

The food is great, even the buffet is pretty decent. We went to the Oceanside grill for dinner the first night for a quick meal (it's the casual sit down restaurant) and even that was decadent. The seafood is great, the italian is great, the mexican is great, it's all great. I'll leave it at that.

The bars are fun, especially the pool bar. They say gratuities are included but we put a dollar or two down after every few rounds. Keep an eye out in the pool, you never know who you'll see (we met an NFL player). The liquor isn't top shelf, but it's pretty good, especially for an all inclusive. And if you want to go to the bars in town, there's always a taxi ready to go.

One of the best parts is there are no wrist bands, as long as you're inside the gate everything is free. My only gripes are that the internet isn't free (you'll get over it) and the snorkeling is mediocre.

My advice if you're looking at booking this hotel is book now and buy some books to read on the beach
