Dreams about babies when you have none?

I keep dreaming I have child and then neglect it...other people end up taking care of it so it's fine...I don't have any kids and I'm not married or anywhere near having kids...what does this dream mean? In life I love kids and am a teacher, so it makes no sense

Maybe you are trying to get your students to understand something. (giving birth) Somehow it's not working out.

It doesn't mean you want to neglect children. Remember, it is the idea, not the children.

it could mean that you fear that when you have children you may not be a good or attentive mother

The baby is representing a part of you that you are neglecting in real life--are you not taking care of yourself or something?  Is there something you need to take over that you are allowing other people to handle?
