Dreams about earthquake and receiving a letter?

Question

I had two dreams last night and I wonder, if there's a connection. In the first dream I dreamed of an earthquake (I read already about what it could mean). I didn't get hurt, I only saw the earth breaking.

In the second dream I received a letter from my fiance. I could only read the words "I'm sorry", then I woke up.

Is there a connection between these two dreams or is just my mind playing tricks on me, because I'm actually waiting to hear from him?!

Things were rough in the last time if that plays a role, but no fights. I don't live in area where earthquakes usually happen.
