Question:

Dreams about pregnancy that are true?

How many people have had a dream about being pregnant and then it turns out to be true? The other night I dreamt that I was given a pregnancy test as some sort of testing for something else. They found out I was pregnant and I was jumping up and down saying how we had been trying and how much I couldn't wait to tell my husband. Every month I hope to be pregnant so I could be just thinking about it a lot and therefore I was dreaming about it. I was just wondering how many other women also were dreaming about it and then it became reality. AF is hopefully not going to show up on Thursday so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my dream will come true.

  1. If you read back maybe about a year and a half ago under my questions, I asked a similar question. I had a dream that I was so big and fat and pregnant! It was so real! I had on a housecoat and my tummy was so big i couldn't see my feet! Then all of a sudden (still in my dream) I wasn't pregnant any, ore.  The baby was gone. I didn't have it, there was no surgery.  My stimach just shrank.  I cried so hard in my dream and when I woke up.  I posted a question here on the board and ppl said "oh its because you want it so much so u dreamt about it." I agreed that they were probably right and moved on.  About a month later (seriously if you want proof check out my Q&A profile) I got pregnant and was estatic! I left the TTC board and went to the Pregnancy board and posted Questions.  2 weeks later we had a miscarriage...I was devestated beyond repair.  Then I thought back to my dream.  I believe that dream had everything to do with it. (once again if you want proof just check my past Q&A. They have dates for your proof).  I can't say anything about all dreams but some, maybe even most have some form of fact there.  Keep hope!

  2. OMG! its me! well its like 7th day past ovulaton..i dreamed that my aunt was pregnant and that same dream was weird...after like 2-3 days i dreamed again but this time i dreamed of myself being pregnant and still that dream is weird...(they say even in the book what to expect when expecting that pregnant women usually experience weird and vivid dreams due to pregnancy hormones)..i told myself  "that dream was weird...bcoz i dreamed of pregnancy in the same week" (but i dont want to give in that dream bcoz i had this thinking that it might be due to the fact that were really trying to get pregnant) so 3 days past my period was due, w/c never came i tested POSITIVE! so yeah, my dream came true...

  3. It's funny you bring up this question because I tend to have dreams of my friends becoming pregnant and it comes true! Two years ago I had a dream that my friend was pregnant and I called her to tell her that  and then two weeks later she called and told me she was pregnant (her second child.) I also had a dream that my stepmother's sister was pregnant with a girl, a month later she told us she was pregnant and last month she gave birth to a girl. So, I don't have dreams that I'm pregnant unfortunately but I guess I bring luck to others. I will throw some baby dust your way and hopefully have a dream you're pregnant!

  4. The month I found out I was pregnant, I did have a dream.  It was so vivid, I still remember everything about it.  This past weekend I  dreamed a friend of mine called and said she was pregnant.  I truly hope so!!  She and her husband just did their first IUI.  Should know if it worked by the end of the week!!  I hope your's was a sign.  Good luck!!

  5. I think when you are TTC it is normal to dream about being pregnant, as it is what is at the forefront of your thoughts.  I had a dream last night that I delivered a baby girl name Alyssa (that name has never been one of my girl names, so that was kind of funny).  I chalk up my baby dream to me hoping and praying everyday that this is the month.  It is really in my thoughts all the time when I am awake, so it makes sense that I dream about it too.
