Dreams about spiders? What is the interpretation?

I had a dream last night about spiders. There were some red ones with a white hour glass symbol on the abdomen. There were green ones as well. There was a spider(not sure what color it was orignially) but I swat it and it turn silver and flew away. There weren't really attacking me, but just a neucense in my kitchen. What does this mean??

When I was little I had all kinds of dreams about spiders. Big ones, little ones. In one dream I pulled a clock off the wall to change the battery and there was a huge spider hidding in the back of the clock. Another dream, and this going to sound completely crazy, I was being chased by a big one. I was running down a road and the thing was keeping up with me. I jumped on a bike and the spider jumped on a moped and kept the chase up. Craziest dream I have ever had!!

I think you just have a fear of spiders. I don't so much anymore but I had a huge fear of them as a kid.

All spiders except tarantulas are omens of good luck. If you see a spider climbing the wall you will have your dearest wish come true and if you see a spider spinning a web you will have an increase in your income due to hard work. A large spider sitting on a telephone shows you will have a phone call that will benefit you greatly. The larger the spider, the bigger the rewards.

I have lots of dreams involving spiders. Many, many dreams. I've often wondered myself the significance. Last night I had another one, this time a very beautiful looking spider crawling along the kickboard of our hallway. It was the most shiny gold plated creature, and so I tried to alert those I live to it's presence, but was unsuccessful. It seemed that the spider was malevolent, and as I tried to get by it - to get to my room (In waking life I generally leave spiders alone, and they leave me alone in turn), the thing was following me. Leaping from one wall to the other in savage and intimidating brisk movements. In an overly cautious manuevor, I pressed through it's thick nylon like threads and it leapt at me. I awoke with that strange sensation in the pit of my stomach, like when you fall from a great height in a dream.

I hadn't paid too much heed to the dream, but recalling it to friend they said..."dreaming about spiders, AGAIN?"

...hence seeking out info on the possibilities of interpretation, and finding your question posted here.

I have loads of dreams about spiders, but there is no consistency in the quality or nature of these dreams, sometimes there are millions of them, tiny red ones, or sometimes singular large ones. I had concluded it was related to my star sign, scorpio, which is basically an arachnid with a sting evolved from the arachnid's silk appendage.

So, even when I'm lucid dreaming, which happens frequently, sometimes I've toyed with the idea of GIANT human catching spiders, (don't ask me why), and because I'm so ludid I begin to wonder, then adapt how a giant spider would catch a human? Surely we can see the average spider web, so it  would be difficult to catch human prey. So, in my semi concious state I devised a giant spider that would wait and throw it's web on the unsuspecting human.

So...I have saved the world many times, and also destroyed it in my dreams. What does that mean? ...further more, what do spiders have  to do with it all? Normally I just go flying, or have s*x, but for some reason that desire is becoming less intense as I navigate the world of sleep...so many other things can be created or tried that you just cant get away with, or have the money or body for in waking life.

Any answers on that?
