  2. I would like to know the answer also, I always have this dream where my teeth are falling out too...actually they are crumbling to pieces in my mouth and I am spiting them out, they are kind of soft and chalky in my dream.  I hope you get a good answer to this question. I will definitely check back to the responses.

  3. This dream means that you say things you often regret. Since your having them less often, you are doing a better job of thinking before you speak.

  4. Ouch, I used to get them too! Horrible! I think with me and fillings coming out I'm just paranoid about it all the time, so probably just a manifestation of that! Any help?

  5. It is supposed to mean an omen for something bad to happen.  It could be an impending death of a close friend/family member or something personally to you may happen in a negative way.

  6. Maybe your teeth are sensitive to damage

Go to your dentist for more information

  7. it means keep brusting ya teath thats all

  8. I have this too.  A lot of times this happens when you're grinding or clenching your teeth at night, because your mind is bringing the sensitivity of the area to your dream-consciousness.  The weirdest thing that I found was that the first time I had the dream, I was so disturbed that I really felt I needed to know what it meant, so I went straight to a dream-interpretation website and looked it up, and the first sentence was something like, "People who have dreams about their teeth falling out often feel compelled to immediately discover the meaning."

It suggested a lot of stuff about feeling like you are saying too much, or keeping a deadly secret, but I thought that was c**p, personally.  Sure enough, next time I had a dental appointment he discovered I'm clenching my teeth at night.  Jaw / head often aches in the morning, etc.

  9. A coworker told me when you dream about losing your teeth someone you know is going to die.

I had a dream I lost my front tooth.  My uncle(who was sick) died a day later

  10. Next time you have this dream ask yourself how you felt.... It can mean your are scared, sad, embarrassed, angry or are just missing something. this dream is very common.

  11. I read that it meant..you were worried about loosing your looks as in when your getting older......or perhaps just when your confidence is feeling a little knocked...could be a load of ole rubbish, but I have this dream a lot too. Im a bit vain so it seemed to make sense to me...

  12. Hi - Just saw your question and had to get out my book on dream interpretation as I, too, have had a lot of dreams about my teeth coming out.  I know from reading about this kind of dream before that it is a very common one, and I'm reading from my book now and here is what it says:

Dreams about teeth and losing teeth are common.  Often the dream is troubling, although it does not contain the same fear or anxiety as a nightmare.  In the dream, the teeth often are a concern only to the dreamer.  Other characters in the dream either do not notice, or do not care, about the loose teeth. Dreams of losing teeth are often dreams of embarrassment or potentially embarrassing situations.  The parallel waking experience could be summed up in the phrase "losing face" publicly.  Other possible teeth-loss dreams may come from physical sensations such as grinding your teeth or having particularly sensitive teeth."

Interesting, huh?  Just remember, this is a very common dream, as is evidenced by your other answerers.

  13. Dreams that your teeth are falling out are the most common dreams that people have. Common dream scenarios include having your teeth crumbling in your hands or your teeth falling out one by one with just a light tap. Such dreams are not only horrifying and shocking, but often leaves the dreamer with a lasting image of the dream. So what does it mean?

One theory is that dreams about your teeth reflect your anxiety about your appearance and how others perceive you. Sadly, we live in a world where good looks are valued highly and your teeth play an important role in conveying that image. Teeth are used in the game of flirtations, whether it be a dazzling and gleaming smile or affectionate necking. These dreams may stem from a fear of your sexual impotence or the consequences of getting old. Teeth are an important feature of our attractiveness and presentation to others. Everybody worries about how they appear to others. Caring about our appearance is natural and healthy.

Another rationalization for these falling teeth dream may be rooted in your fear of being embarrassed or making a fool of yourself in some specific situation. These dreams are an over-exaggeration of your worries and anxiety.

Teeth are used to bite, tear, chew and gnaw. In this regard, teeth represent power. And the loss of teeth in your dream may be from a sense of powerlessness. Are you lacking power in some current situation? Perhaps you are having difficulties expressing yourself or getting your point across. You feel frustrated when your voice is not being heard. You may be experiencing feelings of inferiority and a lack of self-confidence in some situation or relationship in your life. This dream is an indication that you need to be more assertive and believe in the value of your own opinion.

In the latest research, it has been shown that women in menopause have frequent dreams about teeth. This may be related to getting older and/or feeling unattractive and less feminine.

Traditionally, it was thought that dreaming that you did not have teeth, represent malnutrition which may be applicable to some dreamers.

    Other Perspectives

A scriptural interpretation for bad or falling teeth indicate that you are putting your faith, trust, and beliefs in what man thinks rather than in the word of God. The bible says that God speaks once, yea twice in a dream or a vision in order to hide pride from us, to keep us back from the pit, to open our ears (spiritually) and to instruct and correct us.

In the Greek culture, when you dream about loose, rotten, or missing teeth, it indicates that a family member or close friend is very sick or even near death.

According to the Chinese, there is a saying that your teeth will fall out if your are telling lies.

It has also been said that if you dream of your teeth falling out, then it symbolizes money. This is based on the old tooth fairy story. If you lose a tooth and leave it under the pillow, a tooth fairy would bring you money.
