Dreams...am i actually not breathing if i have sleep paraylisis?

i have sleep paraylisis and i no that with this you often get the sensation like pressureon ur chest orlike ur not breathing..but am i actaually not breathing in real life? i no that people with sleep apnea can get heart complications because they are actually not breathing so i would like to no if it is the same case with sleep paralyslis too..i would also like to hear any stories you might have about sleep paraylisis as well thanks :)

Are you actually not breathing, or do you just think you are not because you can't feel yourself breathing? Anytime it happens to me, I panic because I can't feel my self breathing because of the paralysis. I am struggling to breath, and I can see my chest rise and fall, so I know I am actually breathing. I feel the pressure too as if something is trying to keep me from breathing.  It has only happened to me a few times, but when it does thats the part that scares me when I feel like I am not breathing.
