Dreams of disasters, of earthquakes and crumbling buildings?what is my brain trying to tell me?

I have had a horrible couple of repeat dreams whereby, I look out window and see 'disasters ' unfold...

it usually is a plane crashing in mid air and I watch a ball of flames like final destination almost... scares me seems so real..

then tower blocks , I am up in a building, and they crumble , i try and take the lift, there is an earthquake and the lift fails, I try and survive thinking of my family.

Clouds of smoke envelope my street, and earthquakes hit and crush my parked car that always seems REAL, and also of tsunamis hitting as I look out a window, at a calm sea from my window in the dream and then I say 'OH my God' a huge tidal wave is heading for my hotel that i seem to be staying at.

Can anyone decipher what any of these nightmare dreams could possibly indicate, they look like disasters that actually happen in the world and have happened and I remember them as they are so vivid!

thanks

  1. Sounds like you`re breaking up

  2. i dont know where you are at but here in california there was an earthquake about an hour ago!!!

  3. I think as you are aware of the disasters, both natural and those inflicted by humans, they naturally cause you concern. I would imagine that some nights when you are more tired or stressed than usual these sort of thoughts will become muddled in with your own anxieties and end up in your dreams. I do think also though that you do care deeply for the planet and worry where it will all end. I feel though that there are not many of your friends you can discuss this with as most of them are not so aware and are more concerned about their own 'stuff' so that when you do hear of these disasters you tend to think quite deeply but keep it to yourself, you have a lot of compassion and are quite sensitive thats why these things will stick in your mind and pop up in dreams.

  4. The same things happen to me,, there are chances that all that can happen but there not too big. You may have some anxiety issue, where you find things to worry about. I do the same thing. I'm always thinking of the world ending or something catastrophic happening. It's most likely just anxeity. People sensitive to the world have a lot of anxeity.
