Question:

Dreams of people. How do...

I've heard that all the people in your dreams are people you've seen or met before in your life. They could be people you know, or just someone you've passed on the sidewalk. What I am wondering is how do scientists (or whoever discovered this) how do they know this is true? How do they know your mind didn't create someone you've never seen? I don't get how they would know that. Please answer, sources if you have them. Thanks!

  1. I don't know about dream research.  But I do know that I've dreamed about people I don't know.

I mean, I suppose I could have passed them on the street but they are people I don't recognize or place when I dream.

I don't think someone could know that.  Good question tho! :)

  2. Well, I've never heard of that before...and I don't believe it.  My dreams are pretty much like murder-mysteries, or dramas, or whatever my overly-active imagination whips up.

Sometimes I dream about people, places and situations I know, but sometimes I experience such unusual situations and people and places that I KNOW I have never known them before.

I try to remember things and write them down...but am often stumped because in some of my dreams, I'll be speaking a language that I KNOW I don't know, but I somehow seem to understand what is being said, or is going on...

    Dreams are fascinating, aren't they?
