Dreams with water....?

Question

I have had some really weird dreams in which i was in water, such as:

I dreampt i was a mermaid on steriods who competed in swimming races. I was racing in an underwater wal-mart with a "merman" who i found attractive. Then when it came to the day of the big race i forgot to take steroids and i couldnt swim, almost at all.

In the other two i was no more than knee deep in water:

I was with a guy that i seemed to like, and he lead my into a lake about knee deep. It was really foggy and erie. He was holding me against his chest, he had no shirt. I felt safe in his arms, but something about the water made me really uneasy, and i remember him telling me something about his mother being in the water.

another dream I was with a guy i liked and we were on some beach, he lead me through the shallow parts of the lake over bigger rocks. finally we stopped on a rock and he held me against his chest(once again he had no shirt),and for some reason the water made me uneasy,i told him we got out

My grandmom always said that when ever u dream of water that indicates death especially if its clean water as well as clothing, and teeth (teeth falling from mouth).

Water usually means 'LIFE' in dreams- being a mermaid swimming on steroids with a merman may mean that you are comfortable with your life but you have occasionally may have used some sort of help to get to your success in your life challengers and love relationships. Because you were in "knee deep waters" that may mean "manageable" Then you were in the same depth, in a lake with a guy and a foggy atmosphere- this may represent uncertainty -a guy you met held you to his bare chess- may mean he seem to be there for you and very intimate with you but the "something in the water made you suddenly uneasy- mother in the water? may mean that you are suspicious of certain things that may concern family members or relatives of whoever you are interested in. Lastly the 3rd guy also has the same effect on you but by leading you over the rocks - that may mean overcoming some obstacles in your life may make you put more confidence in this relationship but you have your doubts still and decided not to continue too long on whatever the relationship may bring.

Ok. This is my take.. Im just giving my opinion.. Take what may help you....

anxiety....  abandonment issues with parents...  the unavoidable that someone is going to or has left your life, that you cherished or loved, or had hopes with the future .. and your powerless over it.. and it hurts, or is totally overwhelming that you are being forced to face that your powerless over it... Its confusing.. It doesn't seem right that all of this has to happen to you..

Your mind is just releasing tension about the real world in a safe way....  

Theirs safety in your dreams, but always something that lurks underneath in the dark that is scary that you cant control , and will upset the whole safety thing.. so you know you cant trust no matter what..

and that takes away your sense of freedom when your forced not to trust...
