Dreamt about my deceased aunt's hair-brush!?

My aunt passed away suddenly 7 years ago this october. I dreamt the other night I was in my aunt and uncles old house and had gone to use the restroom when with horror I realized that the restroom was set up as a memorial to her and I had disturbed it! All of her toilletries were still there and grooming supplys, curling irons, towels, and such.

My uncle (who is usually a person not to show feelings) came down, and I was very panicked he would be enraged that I had urinated in the memorial to his deceased wife.

Instead he took out a small white brisseld(sp) brush and gave it to me, statingthat it was the last hair brush she had ever used before she died. Then I looked down at it in my dream and realized there were a few of her hairs still entangled in the brush.

_____________

I generally have very vivid and meaning ful dreams but this seemed to come from nowhere and have such a resonating effect on my being... please, is there anyone who can share an idea as to what it means?

  1. I get this feeling that your aunt really likes you. She doesn't want you to be afraid.  This dream is more a message about letting go symbolized by the urinating.  Have you wondered about her? This dream is like an answered prayer of some sort, an affirmation that your aunt is well and with you.

    Take care.

  2. Are you afraid to talk about your aunt when you are around your uncle?  Perhaps this dream is a signal to you that he would really LIKE to talk about her share his memories or her.  The Bible says "a womans hair is her glory," and the hair brush is, in one sense, a very intimate thing, as it is not something we normally share with others.  He may want to share some of his happy memories and feelings about her with you.  If nobody else lets you talk about the one you love, it probably feels like nobody remembers her or cares about her except him.

When you are around him, casually mention her.  Maybe pick up an item and ask, "Did Aunt "name here" make this?"  If he says,  yes, "Say, it sure is pretty.  She was so good at that.  Do you have any others like this one that she made?  I'd like to look at them."

If he wants to talk about her garden, how she cooked, her hobbies, habits, or things they did together, ask open ended questions that will make it easy for him to talk about her.  Ask him, "I've been wondering.... how did you two meet?" or other things like that.  You may learn some family history, and he might just enjoy talking about it!  Give it a try.

    God bless you,

  3. One interpretation:

    Purity is bathroom-related.

Your dreaming conscious, which is your waking subconscious, was at a certain level, and learned a "resonating" or profound lesson:  Your aunt's memory is purified, hence, she has "moved on up."  (Now you know.)

Your uncle's statement is also significant:  he is giving you a beautifying, cleansing, neat-making relic of your aunt--direct link, in that it was the "last hair brush she used."

"Small, white" brush indicates humble, pure.

The "few hairs entangled" are records relating to your general familial energy patterns.
