  1. keep it simple....because after the reception it gona come off and u will have fun =)

  2. Just go to your nearest bridal salon.   They will have plenty of dresses there and you can try them on.

If you don't like any they also have many bridal books.

  3. try Onewed.com

  4. Try this: go to this website.  it is a mix-and-match thing at davids bridal.  you can get a top and a bottom seperate, which might be more comfortable for you than a dress.  they are designed as bridesmaid dresses, but just get it in white, and voila, wedding "dress".

    here's the site!

  5. It sounds like a big puffy tulle infested wedding gown is not your style.

Find something that suits your personality. Maybe something sleek and fitted or something with a unique pattern or fabric.

  8. Since you're not really a dress person, go for something simple and modern but something that still shows off your personality:

  9. Well it all depends - as another person mentioned - you can wear a pant suit if you wish!  The best option is to go to the stores and try on a few dresses (and pant suits if you wish) and see what you feel comfortable in and what suits you and looks best.  Here are some ideas for you - as I don't believe you would be going for the 'traditional' ball-gown...

http://www.tjformal.com/ Type in 'mermaid wedding dress' into the search  (ie anything sleek and s**y - not so frilly and 'girly' is going to be good)  Also check out the informal dresses.

And any of these would be suitable for outdoor weddings.

  10. Pick up some bridal magazines and just start browsing.  Also, these two websites have a lot of gowns that you can look through.  You can also narrow down the dresses by neckline (strapless, halter, etc.) and cut (a line, mermaid, slimline, etc)

Just look through and your bound to see something that catches your eye.  Get a general feel for what you want and when you go dress shopping, listen to the bridal consultants - they often know what looks better on your body type then you do!

And don't stress too much...you'll find something.  For simpler designs, I suggest J Crew, Watters Bridal, and Marisa Bridal (all within the low to mid price range).  Good luck!
