Hi all,

I have a tattoo between my shoulder blades. now, i LOVE the tattoo. however, i don tthink itll look approriate with a wedding dress. i was wondering if anyone has ever come across a wedding dress that might cover this area in the back?? i am smallish (5'3 and a size 6) so i think i would drown in a high neckline in the front, but ihavent seen anything ever that might cover my tat. thanks!

  1. Here are a few that you might like. I will try to look for some more. They are out there - but right now the high neck line really isn't "in"

Maybe you could try looking at used wedding dresses. You might have more luck. Hopefully you will like some of these though...

or you can get a dress you like and get a small shawl ro shrug to cover your shouldders

or will a long veil cover it?

  4. Just wear your hair down. They do have dress where it snaps at the top of neck but then its open back.

  5. You could get make-up to cover up your tat....then you can get whatever style of dress you like!

  6. Unfortunately a lot that cover the top of your back are lacey and quite sheer - which would probably make the tattoo look worse than not covering it up at all!  Thicker lace like this may work...

    Otherwise some dresses like these...

  7. I'm sorry, I don't have any links to post, but I HAVE seen dresses that have the high neckline, almost collar type halter, that covers your back and your chest, so they are around, it's just a matter of finding them.  Good luck!

  8. EDIT: Courtney, I'm at work right now so can't look at gowns alot, or others will see lol... email me back or activate your email on yahoo and I'll send you more when I can soon :)

    Here's one: http://www.bestbridalprices.com/eden-inf...

There are many dresses on http:/www.bestbridalprices.com that have higher necklines in the back.

Check the bonny collection, or eden... you could then get the front neckline altered to suit your liking a bit... but get quotes first.

Another idea would be to just wear makeup on the back for the day or leave your veil on? That way it'll be pretty and soft.

    All the best.

  9. There is a kind of cover-up makeup that will hide a tattoo if you can't find a dress you like that will do the job.

  10. Maybe you could just put a cute little jacket over it.

Or get a white vail, and don't take it off??

    Hope I helped.

  11. I've seen some dresses like this, but can't find any links right now. I also think at 5'3" a high neckline would be a poor choice.

Honestly, though, you could do several things if you feel like you must cover your tattoo. Although I have friends who got married and their tats were showing, and it looked great. There is no reason to hide who you are on your wedding day, in my opinion.

if you have long hair you can leave it down. There is also tattoo-covering make-up that works really well. You have to practice applying it, though. Here's one:

Honestly, I wished my tattoo could have shown, but it is on my lower back.

EDIT:  I would totally go with the make-up below, or something similar (I just couldn't find it when I was looking.)

Since you're relatively petite, I think it might me fun to try a mini or knee-length dress:

  13. Why limit your dresses to ones that would cover your tattoo? Check out this website ...

I had the same issue during my wedding and this product saved me a lot of stress! It cost me around $45-$50, but it was well worth it! My wedding pictures looked wonderful and you would never known I had a tattoo on my back!
