Question:

Dresses at Beijing Olympics?

I wanted to know what the dresses the Chinese Women were wearing. The top from the waist up was like a regular Chinese Dress, it was white with blue embroiders and it was tight fitting (that's how it was supposed to be) and the bottom half was elegant and flowy, like European or something. I personally thought they were GORGEOUS, anyways, what are they called? Does anyone know?? Thanks.

  1. Idk what they OFFICIALLY called, but I know they're all Han-style dresses. (Han is a prvincial and racial section of China) . That's all I know, I think in a store I'd ask for Oriental dresses or something like that .

    Sorry I couldn't help more.

  2.    I'm a guy & I totally agree with you. From the opening ceremony up till now all the women that follow the competitors around look fantastic in their native dress.  Not to mention also that they are all beautiful as well.

  3. it's from the white and blue porcelain dress series used for the aquatics part of the olympics.

it's a sort of mesh between traditional chinese style with western, i also agree and think it's absolutely gorgeous. but i'm having trouble finding clearer pictures of it.

i'm gonna do more sleuthing, but hopefully the websites i give you will help a bit.
