Question:

Dressing Down the pooch.?

Does anyone else get annoyed when people dress up their pets (usually dogs) in stupid little clothes? I really feel for the pet, how humiliating, it looks so bad and probably puts the dog in discomfort too!

  1. Yes, I think it's idiotic.  Pets are living breathing beings not accessories.  But I did have a tiny black Persian that was found as a badly matted - nearly dreadlocked - stray.  The shelter had to shave him body down to the skin and since it was February and quite chilly here in Seattle when I met him he was wearing a red turtleneck sweater - http://www.ferretocious.com/cats/chanan/...

So if it's for the comfort of the animal like in this case - then it's a better option than being cold.  But 99% of the pets that are dressed aren't wearing clothes to keep warm.

  2. I think a simple shirt or sweater is fine but anything over the top is ridiculous to me.

  3. i have simple clothes for my dog.

some people during sumertime because it's to hot

someone told me to take of my dogs shirt

    because it was too hot

  4. hello there

we both feel the same.i feel kinda humiliated for the animal.you see, even MALES get to be dressed like a fairy princess.isn't that ridiculous?!i don't know but i feel like i'm the one being humiliated when i see those animals.sure,it looks "cute"(as ladies say) but isn't a bit weird dressing up animals in costumes?creepy...

but of course,it all goes down to the owner if they chose to do that stuff...i,personally,won't ever do it for my pets...

    this is only my opinion.

best wishes and have a nice day!
