I purchased a pot of beebalm petite wonder and realized it later when i got home the leaves had dried out and most of them had fallen. i still planted the flowers. after looking up info about the plant i noticed the flowers that i have on the beebalm are also a bit dried up. my questions is will these beebalm survive, should i cut the flowers back as they are getting dried up day by day.....what should i do? will they grow back this summer if i cut them back......

thanks

  1. You probably will not get new flowers this year.  But if the roots survived its drought, it may put up new growth, it may live, and produce new growth this year, and flower nest year.

It will depend on whether just the leaves died of thirst, or whether the roots died, too.  Only time will tell.

As a new planting  - water 2-3 times a week, and a root stimulator wouldn't hurt.

  2. just buy another, not worth messing about
