The Belgian ace has distanced himself from rumours that were linking him with a move away from Philips Stadion in the January transfer market to join one of the English Premier League clubs.

If rumours are to be believed, the Spurs and the Merseyside club will be tabling a bid to lure the 25-year-old away from Philips Stadion in the upcoming January transfer window.
However, the highly-rated winger, who joined the Eindhoven giants in the summer of 2011 after making 65 league appearances for FC Utrecht, has made it clear that he is absolutely enjoying his time at Philips Stadion, and has no intentions of leaving the
club at the moment.

The Belgian forward, who has thus far played 12 games for Belgium national football team, was close to lifting the Eredivisie title in his first season at Philips Stadion. However, his side chocked in the final weeks of the 2011/12 season, and eventually
finished third on the table.
And the 25-year-old has stressed that he will not leave the club before lifting the title.
“Of course you sometimes think higher. But I still have a sour feeling missing the title last year. That must be put right”, Mertens concluded.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Utrecht-c39237 attacker has thus far netted an impressive 25 goals, while racking up 19 assists in 40 appearances for the Boeren.
The pint-sized winger has an ongoing contract at Philips Stadion that runs until the summer of 2016, and reports indicate that the PSV management will not let go of their prized asset for anything less than 15 million Euros.
