Driftwood? bought some 2day and lookin 4 advice. i never listen 2 ur man in the pet shop?

If you don't like the look of the tannins from the driftwood turning your tank yellow then you'll need to soak it in a bucket of water for a few weeks to remove some of it.  Otherwise just wash it off in plain water and put it in your tank.

tannings wont effect the fish and will be removed from the tank after a few water changes. also the wood will sink in around 2-3 weeks if it floats

best thing to do with driftwood is soak it in a bucket for 2-3 days this gets rid of some of the tanning effect. also give it a reasonable scrub to get rid of any wood thats rotted on it, after that simple just place it in the tank,
