My husband just got orders to be drill. A friend said that he will have to serve the guys milk and cookies. I laughed but he was being totally serious! Is this true? And if so, what? Why? When did basic become preschool?

  1. yes, and you have to tuck them in too, at night.......otherwise they can report you for not being attentive to their  needs.

I imagine it is like this in today's politically correct, lawyer heavy world........but in reality..........NO----that is NOT the drill instructor's job...............to hand out milk and cookies.  Your friend is either pulling your leg.....or has been watching too many Bill Murray movies or something.

  2. It's not true! LOL

  3. ahahahahahaa!!!!! MILK AND COOKIES! Brings back memories.... but dont be fooled... The Milk and cookies he refers to arent as sweet as it sounds.... Milk and Cookies refers to the Cadence enlistees in BASIC TRAINING are told to chant from the drill SGT. every once in a while.. it goes a lil something like this but not exact being that every drill SGT. says it diffrent... ( Drill Sgt..... Drill Sgt....I want some Milk and Cookies!) Usually chanted by Pvt.'s PVT 2's AND SPC. while in basic training just to give the Drill SGT's a laugh and to make the trainees feel low.... brake them down kinda make them feel like children and the DS is their daddy... Your husbands gonna do some cruel things haha.... but its all for the better.....

  4. Not true. There will be lots of yelling, have him running everywhere, but sorry, no milk and cookies.
