Question:

Drill here, Drill now! Why don't the democrats understand the rule of supply and demand?

If we have more supply of oil (especially domestic product) then the price will come down. Competition creates lower prices and better products. Taxing imported oil will only raise the price of gasoline, because the Saudis will only add it to the price. As soon as we start drilling for oil the price will drop like a rock.

  1. That's the idea, but they won't go for that because it doesn't fit into their socialist agenda.

If the U.S.A. is not energy dependent on foreign countries, then how can the leftists swing the surrender to the U.N.???

    ARE YOU LISTENING, CONGRESS??

    edit:

Some say that we would not see any affects for 5 or more years.  If so (which I doubt), the so be it.  5 years from now we will STILL NEED OIL!.

    DRILL HERE!

    DRILL NOW!

    DRILL HERE!

    DRILL NOW!

    DRILL HERE!

    DRILL NOW!

  2. Tomorrow!  July 1, 2008.

They will have a new source of energy.

Then we have to junk all our cars and trucks and farm machinery and trains and air conditioners and stoves and refrigerators and , and, and, and.

When everyone has to replace everything, the conomy will bust wide open with jobs galore,

    in China.

  3. Even those who support drilling offshore and in ANWAR admit that the prices would not be affected for at least five years.

Plus, they also admit that the retrievable product from those areas would only provide 2-3 years of US supply.

The oil companies have thousands of drilling permits for areas they are not using.  Why don't they use those?  Could it be...to keep prices high?  (You know, the old supply and demand.)
