what is horizontal drilling, directionla drilling and shot hole drilling

1)  Horizontal drilling is where the drill pipe string is bent to a 90 degree angle and the drilled "sideways" (yes, drillers can do that)

2)  Directional drilling is where the drill pipe string is oriented to the desired direction and hole angle

3)  Shot hole drilling is done on seismic surveys...holes are drilled and filled with explosives - when these are fired the echoes of the blast are recorded by geophones and processed into seismic data a geophysicist can use
