Princess Cruise line requires 21 years to consume alcohol.

The drinking age on all cruise ships is age 21 or older.  And it does not matter whether you are on the ship in a US or a foreign port, its the same.  It does not matter that you are in international waters, its still age 21.  The only exception to this is that some cruise lines will allow those over age 18 but under age 21 who are accompanied by a parent to drink beer and wine IF their parents sign a waiver to allow them to drink.

Here's what on the Royal Caribbean's web site as an example:

"Effective as of all sailings commencing on or after July 28, 2006, the minimum drinking age for all alcoholic beverages on all Royal Caribbean International ships is 21.

          However, on cruises departing from European and South American countries, where the legal drinking age is typically lower than 21, a parent who is sailing with his or her son(s) and/or daughter(s) who is between the ages of 18 to 20, may sign a waiver allowing the 18 to 20 year old to consume alcoholic beverages. Please note: Waivers will be provided to parents upon check-in."

While those under 21 cannot drink on the ship, they will be able to drink in the bars and restaurants in port stops.  The drinking age in all other countries is age 18 so you can enjoy yourself there.  But don't try bringing alcoholic beverages back on ship; it will be confiscated.

You have to be 21 to drink.  If you are traveling with a parent or guardian and they purchase the drinks for you, and you can drink with their consent.

Depends on the cruise line but I have seen 10/12 year olds drinking wine at dinner. But, that is not uncommon in Europe. except the U.K. or Ireland.
