  1. Some cruise lines do sell drink cards for $40 to $80 depending upon the ship and the number of drinks the card allows.  BUT these drink cards DO NOT give you unlimited drinks; they have a set number, like for example 20 drinks, or 10 drinks. On Carnival for example you can buy a 4 drink card for about $22.00 through the gift part of their web site.  On Princess you can buy liquor for your cabin through the on-board gift menu on the Princess web site.  This is slightly cheaper than buying drinks on ship.

On many cruise lines you can buy a soft drink card that is unlimited.  They will cost about $6 or $7 per person for adults and a little less for kids and they allow you unlimited soft drinks for the cruise.  So for a 7 day cruise you would spend $42 and could drink all of the Coke or Pepsi you want.  They give you a thermal mug (some cruise lines let you keep it) and you have to buy the soft drink package the first day of the cruise; its  ONLY available then.

Some ships you can buy the alcoholic drink cards before you board the ship by going to the on board gift section of the cruise line web site.

  2. never heard of that been on 3 cruises, the do have specials but if they had that deal everyone would get it, our beer bill came to around 800 for 7 night cruise

  3. yes, you can buy a card, for alcoholic drinks or for just sodas & juices without alcohol.

  4. Call Carnival, when we went we only got sodas free, and you use a major credit card to keep a tab of all your drinks, and they are SOOOO pricey!! Call carnival.

  5. To my knowledge, Carnival doesn't have a drink card for alcoholic beverages, Just a Fountain Club Card for sodas. There are a couple opportunities to get complementary drinks during the cruise. On the first night, there is liquor tasting on the promenade. You can pound drinks during the Captain's Gala, and you can get champagne at the art auction. You can also go to the Carnival Vacations Club room anytime and bum a glass on champagne. You can save a little by hitting happy hour. Also on the lido deck, if you purchase beer in 4 bottle buckets, you save $1.50. Most ppl tote a pint or 2 in their luggage. You can go up on top and bring back a glass of lemonaide anytime. Mixing material.

    Bon Voyage!!!
