  1. just dont do it. and yes it can kill you..

  2. it will really kill you - renal failure.

but how much and what type of antifreeze makes the answer tricky.

there are at least 2 main forms or ingredients.

we have good toxicity data for rats and dogs, but the info on humans does not appear to be fully consistent.

Diethylene glycol is toxic to humans and animals, and death can occur by renal failure. The LD50 for small mammals has been tested at between 2 and 25 g/kg - much less toxic than its relative ethylene glycol, but still inappropriate for even minor consumption.

    don't know about LD 50   ?

    median leathal dose

  3. Depends on your size, the bigger you are, the more it takes to kill you. Alcoholic people drink it all the time. They will drink your brake fluid too. Watch out for homeless alcoholics, they wreak havoc on your car.

  4. Drinking anti freeze destroys your kidneys. It is an extremely painful and lingering death. That is why it is so dangerous for pets.

  5. Yes. Very little. Antifreeze is mostly ethylene glycol. The body metabolizes ethylene glycol to oxalic acid. Oxalic acid poisons every cell in the body by interfering with metabolism.

  6. yes, it will kill you. from what i've read it usually takes a little bit over a long extended period of time.

  7. yes. you will die

  8. of coarse! you use that in your car

i bet the smallest sip would send you to the emergency room

"they not only achieve freezing point depression in the winter when mixed with water, they coincidentally achieve boiling point elevation of water" -wikipedia

    that doesn't sound good.

THIS IS AN ATTEMPT OF MURDER WITH ANTIFREEZE

She eventually settled on Antifreeze, and delibrately laced his Takeaway and Wine with antifreeze and he subsequently came close to death having being rushed to hospital. Mr. Knight remained in a coma for 16 weeks and eventually managed to pull through. Despite this, he was left with brain damage, kidney failure, blindness, and deafness. Mrs Knight was found guilty of his attempted murder and was jailed for 30 years in February 2008

  9. NEWER A nti-freeze is made from propylene glycol which is a organic compound.

It is a "safe" liquid to drink, but it does contain alcohol, so it is dangerous for babies or younger kids. For adults, drinking it would not be considered "safe," but it is not toxic enough to be considered hazardous. So technically, you could drink it and have no health problems other than an upset stomach from the nasty **** you just drank. Maybe a little drunk also.

Also, FDA has made propylene glycol safe for use in food, cosmetics, and medicines.

OLDER Anti-freeze that is  made from ethylene glycol is very hazardous as you are consuming ethanol. Ethylene glycol-based anti-freeze can easily kill you if you consume enough of it. I doubt anyone has tested a lethal or sub-lethal levels of anti-freeze on humans, and since rats have a different metabolic rate than humans its hard to say how much volume you would need to consume before it kills you.

  10. It is toxic. If you ingest it you need to call HazMat.

And there is only one level of dead.

  11. The toxicity is very high. Small amounts can kill a human very easily.

Maybe you're not suicidal, but if suicidal people come across your question, they may view the answers and try to figure out how much they need to kill themselves. That's why I won't give an accurate value.

  12. Anti-Freeze is composed of a chemical...Drinking it WILL kill you...I can't give you a precise amount, however it would be wise never to put your lips near it.

  13. Yes it will totally kill you so I really really hope you arent thinking about drinking it!  I'm not sure how much would do it but even if I did know I wouldnt tell you just in case.  :)

  14. will it really kill you? YES

  15. A little can wreck your liver and a lot can kill you

Why are you wondering Common sense don't drink something that you know will kill you.
