  5. Hi lady, i'm italian, (20 y.o.) yeah, here the drinking limit is 16 y.o., so, if you're 17 you shouldn't have any problems... but well, they don't care a lot about how old you are, it's quite rarely that they don't give you some alchool....

however, remember that after 2 a.m. they can't give alchool more...

if yuo want to know more just ask...ciao

  6. Hello I'm Italian... the drinking limit is 16 years old and after 2 o' clock p.m. the disco and the bar can't give you alchool... the laws is equal in all the regions... but any disco or bar ask your ID or your age 'cause they don't rexpect the limits of the laws...

sorry for my english but i don't speak english very well

  7. Laws are the same all around Italy (regions, provinces and cities do only have administrative powers); currently legal age in order to be served alcoholic drinks in public places is 16 (now more strict about making it respected). It's true, though that, unlike usually reported by some websites about, there isn't a limit for "drinking" (that was a main Italian consumer association).

And is even true bartender, etc will not ask you your ID... because they *can't*; by law, only officers can ask for IDs.

It seems quite ridiculous putting limits when most people are not authorized to check, but so it works...
