Question:

Drinking after brushing Teeth...?!?

I get thirsty ALOT. Especially, after I brush my teeth. My throat gets really dry. I know this may sound stupid, but does drinking water after brushing teeth defeat the purpose of brushing your teeth? Would it wash away the chemicals that are supposed to clean your teeth? If so, what should I do? Thanks in Advance.

  1. Drinking water is fine. I just wouldn't suggest drinking soda or milk or anything else if you want your teeth to stay clean.

  2. The silica in the toothpaste probably dries out your throat. Drink water before you brush your teeth, then you won't be so thirsty afterwards. It doesn't harm your teeth, but you end up swallowing residual fluoride, which isn't great. Try to wait at least 30 minutes after brushing to drink water.

  3. YES YOU CAN DRINK WATER AFTER BRUSHING THIS WILL NOT AFFECT ANYTHING.

IT'S WHEN YOU HAVE A FLUORIDE TREATMENT BY YOUR DENTIST THAT YOU SHOULDN'T DRINK ANYTHING FOR 30 MIN.

  4. I think it's ok to drink water but only water.  It doesn't wash away chemicals, maybe just the minty fresh taste after you brush your teeth (:

  5. no i mean u rinse ur teeth wit water after brushing

so jus go ahead and drink water
