  1. The drinking age is 18. In some clubs you have to be 18 to get in, but most clubs let people in at age 16.

  2. clubbing - 18

drinking - 16 for beer and wine, 18 for spirits and liquor

  3. 18+ since Jan 1st

You missed out you used to be able to go at 16 till midnight but not drink hard liquer.

Now if you are at a restaurant with adults and family they will serve you a beer or wine at most ages there and you can drink at home with your family as well legally.

Just not at the clubs anymore. IF you have a student ID you can often get discount passes to enter the clubs,

hope that helps I started going at age 19 and have not stopped at age 37!

Tiday - They just changed the law on the first on January, I did not know either until my friends told me!!

  4. its still beer|wine 16

    hard liquor 18

    nothing changed on january 1st

  5. They have an 18+ rule for buying alcohol and getting in to clubs and bars, but I've never seen it enforced. They don't really care like they do here. At festivals I've seen kids that look like they're twelve walking around with pitchers of beer and cigarettes in their hands! They have vending machines with beer and cigs in them, so that pretty much says it all. If you look 18 you shouldn't have a problem partying it up.

  6. Drinking age:

    Beer and Wine: 16

    Hard liquor: 18

Note: they rarely check IDs at stores or bars unless you look absurdly young.

    Clubbing:

They do check IDs more frequently when you go clubbing, although still probably only about 50% of the time.  Lots of clubs won't let you in unless you're 18.  The rest will let you in when you're 16.  Some states within Germany have a rule that if you're under 18, you have to leave the club by midnight.  I have only seen this rule enforced twice.  If you're 18 already, be prepared to go clubbing until 6am if you are at a good club.
