I’m going on the Majesty to Bermuda in May I’m 20 now and I will be 21 in July. I’m going with my parents and brother who are all over 21 and I have heard that if you get written consent from your parents that someone 18-20 can have alcohol and go to the casino is that correct?

  1. Well most cruise liners set the alcohol minimum age at 18yrs.Not too sure about casinos.Would suspect the rule to be the same. Here in Australia you must be 18yrs to play any type of gambling,Bingo,Horses or Pokies and Casinos

  2. Guests between the ages of 18 and 20 are allowed to purchase and consume beer and wine if a parent or legal guardian gives written consent while onboard (with the exception of cruises that stop in Hawaii and Alaska). The drinking age for hard liquor is 21.

  3. Its usually by the age of 18yrs that u can drink on board cruise ships in Scandivania,so i suppose that applies on the "Majesty" as well.U shudnt have any prob.If u wanna be on the safe side, have ur parents do the ordering for u instead. And get them to write ( the consent letter ) for u to keep in the pocket.Have loads of fun!

  4. You are going to miss out on drinking hard liquor by just a couple of months.  The requirement is 21 with no exception.

This is for ships that have offices in the USA and NCL is included in that group.

However, at any bar or lounge, if security (and they are all over) sees you drinking and asks for your keycard to verify your age and you are underage, your whole family could be denied passage back to the USA.

I just looked at the Norwegian Cruise Line site and they do allow beer or wine drinking for 18-20 year olds with parental permission.

    Have a great time.
