I was wondering what would happen if i drank a cup of freshly brewed hot green tea after it cooled down to room temperature? Or rather, a 'cooled' tea which was suppose to be drank hot(brewed).. Are there disadvantages from doing so?

Thanks!!!

  1. It'll be less aromatic but otherwise isn't any different.

  2. its called Iced Tea u can drink any tea at reg. temp or even iced n its the same i personally like iced tea's better like i wont drink green tea warm it has to be iced idk y though lol

  3. There are no disadvantages to drinking tea that has gone cold. Many tea lovers intentionally put their favorite tea in the refrigerator to cool it down during the summer. None of the health benefits are lost if you drink the tea the same day, or just a few hours after it has been brewed.

Certain teas are better suited to cooling down than others, especially teas that are not too bitter. The bitterness seems to get more pronounced when the tea is cold. A tea that's very well suited to be chilled like this is white tea, which is sweet and subtle right from the start.
